Precision Tree Service LLC is a professional utility line clearance and vegetation management company founded in 2005 and based in Cassville, Pennsylvania. We are proud to be a diversified supplier and certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (SDVOB)—bringing integrity, discipline, and excellence to every project we undertake.

While our home base is in PA, our crews currently operate across Maryland and are available to travel for storm response or routine maintenance work wherever needed.

We are equipped with the right tools, vehicles, and skilled personnel to handle all phases of vegetation management—serving utility companies, municipalities, and residential clients with precision and care.

As a smaller, family-owned company, we take pride in delivering safe, affordable, and high-quality work. We also employ a Maryland Licensed Tree Expert and hold both Maryland and Pennsylvania pesticide business licenses.

Expanded Capabilities: Utility & Excavation Division

In 2024, we expanded our service offerings with the launch of our Utility & Excavation Division. This team supports critical infrastructure projects such as underground utility installations, post indicator valve (PIV) systems, deep trenching, and site development. We are proud to support clients like American Water with safe and efficient work on secure, high-compliance job sites.

Our Story

From One Man and a Vision to a Trusted Name in Utility Services

In 2005, Jason Henry founded Precision Tree Service LLC with a dream to build something of his own—something rooted in hard work, integrity, and excellence. After more than a decade working in the tree industry, Jason took a leap of faith to launch his own company, and it has grown steadily ever since.

Today, Precision Tree Service is an independently owned, family-run business, led by Jason and his wife, Mara, and based in their hometown of Cassville, Pennsylvania. What began as a small residential tree removal company has evolved into a respected contractor serving utility companies, municipalities, and commercial clients throughout Maryland and the Mid-Atlantic region.

👷‍♂️ Jason’s Story

Jason grew up on a farm outside Cassville, PA. After graduating high school in 1992, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where he served four years of active duty in an infantry unit. The discipline and leadership he learned as a Marine laid the foundation for his career and eventual business ownership.

In 1997, Jason entered the tree industry and quickly became a skilled tree climber and crew foreman. By 1999, he was promoted to Supervisor for a utility line clearance company, a position he held for over 10 years before deciding it was time to build something of his own.

🌳 From Tree Work to Full-Scale Utility Operations

• 2005: Precision Tree Service LLC is founded, focusing on residential tree removal and trimming.

• 2010: The company expands into utility line clearance, growing from a team of three to over 15 employees in a short period.

• 2010–2023: Precision becomes a long-standing subcontractor for Lewis Tree Service Inc., performing utility vegetation management for Baltimore Gas and Electric across Maryland.

• 2024: Launch of the new Excavation & Utility Division, offering trenching, utility installations, post indicator valves, and infrastructure services. Precision becomes a verified contractor on ISNetworld

• 2024-to Present: Contract with Exelon on the Baltimore Gas and Electric Transmission Line sytem.
